My name is Yetta Easter. I am the daughter of the King! I am a beloved child of God. I am a wife to Shannon of 21 years. I am the mother of five blessings, Kaley, Kloey, Kinzy, Shannon II, and Shonne. I received a bonus blessing with marriage, Shanyce. I graduated from Word of Life School of Ministry in May 2020.
My story begins with me losing my faith in God after I was baptized in the fifth grade. Church attendance was few and far between after that day. Being that I had no true anchor in the Word, I drifted away from God. I drifted so far from Him that for years I felt lonely, rejected, and depressed. Those feelings continued until I was pregnant with my first child at age 23. Bored and being on bed rest, feeling empty and looking for answers, I grabbed the Bible out of hundreds of books on my bookshelf. As I began to read, the words just began to speak to my heart! God began to speak to me, and I allowed myself to listen finally! After safely delivering my daughter, I truly understood what it meant to love, which allowed me to start receiving God's love for me, and it changed everything. God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you and me and then raised Him up from the dead so that you and I feel loved instead of lonely, accepted instead of rejected, and joyful instead of depressed. The only thing you have to do is believe that, repent of your sins and accept Jesus into your heart. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you do that today. And, please reach out to someone and share your story.
My mission is to encourage, enlighten, and educate myself and others to the glory of worshipping God by reading and understanding His Word and then serving Him mind, body, and spirit.
Many years ago, I was attending Union Chapel Baptist Church and Pastor James Cooper said "you as a Christian may be the only bible that some people read." Those words forever changed my life. I was inspired by Holy Spirit to start Be The Bible as a ministry with the purpose of seeking to live a life that could be a bible to draw others to The Bible. My hope is that all of us strive to be an acceptable representation of the Word of God "in word, in conversation, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity"
(I Timothy 4:12).
We are all called, loved, and kept by God. If we trust God for His Word to be true, we can renew our mind by reading, meditating, and speaking God's Word and we can be doers of His Word. We can transform our lives to be more like Jesus, the living Word. I pray that you join me in this verse by verse, step by step, prayer by prayer journey to Be The Bible.
