But the one who always listens to me
will live undisturbed in a heavenly peace.
Free from fear,
confident and courageous,
that one will rest unafraid and sheltered from the storms of life.
When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
From those who leave the paths of uprightness
walk in the ways of darkness;
So you may walk in the way of goodness,
And keep to the paths of righteousness.
For the upright will dwell in the land,
And the blameless will remain in it;
The ways of wisdom are sweet,
always drawing you into the place of wholeness.
Seeking for her brings the discovery of untold blessings,
for she is the healing tree of life to those who taste her fruits
But the lovers of God
walk on the highway of light,
and their way shines brighter and brighter
until the perfect day.
MY MUSINGS- All Scripture
"This is the message [of God's promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him, there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection]. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]"(I John 1:5-7 AMP).
"Jesus said, "'I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness" (John 8:12 TPT)
Walk in the light for Jesus is the light! (John 12:46)
Beware that your sins don’t overtake you
and that the scars of your own conscience don’t
become the ropes that tie you up.
Those who choose wickedness die for lack of self-control,
for their foolish ways lead them astray,
carrying them away as hostages—kidnapped captives robbed of destiny.
When unwise decisions have bound you up and wounded you, call on Jesus,
He will set you free!
Jesus is our Rescuer and our Healer!
In His Holy Word, Jesus reveals to us His purpose;
"'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor,
healing for the brokenhearted,
and new eyes for the blind,
and to preach to prisoners,
‘You are set free!’
I have come to share the message of Jubilee,
for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.'"
(Luke 4:18-19 TPT)
Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:
eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.
MY MUSINGS-All Scripture
"Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life"
(Psalms 139-23-24 NLT).
Dear friend, do what I tell you;
treasure my careful instructions.
Do what I say and you’ll live well.
My teaching is as precious as your eyesight—guard it!
Write it out on the back of your hands;
etch it on the chambers of your heart.
Talk to Wisdom as to a sister.
Treat Insight as your companion.
They’ll be with you to fend off the Temptress—that smooth-talking, honey-tongued Seductress.
“For I am Wisdom, and I am shrewd and intelligent. I have at my disposal living-understanding to devise a plan for your life."
"You will find true success when you find me, for I have insight into wise plans that are designed just for you. I hold in my hands living-understanding, courage, and strength."
Do not correct someone who makes fun of wisdom, or he will hate you.
But correct a wise man, and he will love you.
The wise person is rewarded by his wisdom.
But a person who makes fun of wisdom will suffer for it.
The wicked are blown away by every stormy wind.
But when a catastrophe comes,
the lovers of God have a secure anchor.
Thank You, Father!
Living your life seeking what is good for others brings untold favor,
but those who wish evil for others will find it coming back on them.
You can’t find firm footing in a swamp,
but life rooted in God stands firm.
Watch your step!
Stand upon the Rock!
"Blessed be my Rock!
Let God be exalted,
The Rock of my salvation!"
(II Samuel 22:47 NKJV)
Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame,
but whoever heeds correction is honored.
A refusal to correct is a refusal to love;
love your children by disciplining them.
It’s a sin to despise one who is less fortunate than you,
but when you are kind to the poor,
you will prosper and be blessed.
To receive God's love and salvation,
there is nothing you have to do.
To receive God's blessings and favor,
He expects action from you!
A cheerful heart puts a smile on your face,
but a broken heart leads to depression.
Everything seems to go wrong
when you feel weak and depressed.
But when you choose to be cheerful,
every day will bring you more and more joy and fullness
Before you do anything,
put your trust totally in God and not in yourself.
Then every plan you make will succeed.
The Lord works everything together to accomplish his purpose.
The Bible says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28 NKJV)." If you believe that, trust Him with your whole life.
For who is more trustworthy,
you or God?
Love overlooks the mistakes of others,
but dwelling on the failures of others devastates friendships.
A dear friend will love you no matter what,
and a family sticks together through all kinds of trouble.
The mind of the prudent is ever getting knowledge,
and the ear of the wise is ever seeking (inquiring for and craving) knowledge.
There are some people who ruin their own lives
and then blame it all on God.
Wise words are more valuable
than much gold and many rubies.
Watch your words and be careful what you say,
and you'll be surprised by how few troubles you'll have.
A good name [earned by honorable behavior, godly wisdom, moral courage, and personal integrity] is more desirable than great riches;
And favor is better than silver and gold.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
So Beloved? What are you about thinking yourself?
For a just [or rightwise] man shall fall seven times in the day, and shall rise again;
but wicked men shall fall into evil.
Don't give up.
Don't give in.
If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat.
If they are thirsty, give them water to drink.
You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads,
and the Lord will reward you.
Kind words can be a cover to conceal hatred of others,
for hypocrisy loves to hide behind flattery.
So don’t be drawn in by the hypocrite,
for his gracious speech is a charade,
nothing but a masquerade covering his hatred and evil on parade.
Don’t worry—he can’t keep the mask on for long.
One day his hypocrisy will be exposed before all the world.
Carrying a log across your shoulders
while you’re hefting a boulder with your arms
Is nothing compared to the burden
of putting up with a fool.
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders—he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin (Psalms 55:22 MSG).
